Aim Wall Cavity Barrier
AIM Wall Cavity Barrier is a fire stopping solution used in masonry cavity wall construction to maintain fire performance.
Manufactured from high density rock mineral wool with a foil facing, the barrier is designed to restrict the passage of fire and smoke through concealed cavities while also supporting acoustic performance. It is used in both vertical and horizontal applications within cavity wall build-ups, typically at compartment lines and around openings.

AIM Wall Cavity Barrier provides full cavity closure in wall construction to maintain fire compartmentation.
The barrier is formed from a high density stone wool core with a foil facing, designed to sit tightly within the cavity and prevent the passage of heat, flames and smoke between compartments. It is suitable for achieving fire resistance performance in line with BS EN 1366-4, depending on specification and build-up. Unlike ventilated cavity products, this solution is intended for fully closed cavity conditions, where airflow is not required and a continuous fire break is essential across the wall construction. The material also provides additional acoustic benefit by reducing flanking sound transmission through the façade build-up.
Installed at both vertical and horizontal compartment lines, the barrier is used within masonry cavity walls and steel frame constructions, and can also be incorporated around openings where cavity integrity must be maintained. It forms part of a straightforward fire stopping approach within external wall design
