Tenmat VFB120/120
TENMAT VFB 120/120 Ventilated Cavity Fire Barrier is an open-state fire barrier designed for ventilated wall cavities up to 450mm wide.
The barrier consists of a stone mineral wool core with a high-expansion intumescent strip along the leading edge. A 25mm air gap is maintained for ventilation and drainage during normal use, while in a fire the intumescent expands to close the cavity and help prevent vertical fire spread.
- Fire ratings 120 minutes integrity & insulation for cavities up to 300 mm wide
- Up to 450mm cavities tested
- The standard thickness of 75mm
- Fire ratings 90 minutes integrity & insulation for cavities from 300 mm to 450 mm

The VFB 120/120 barrier is designed for ventilated façades where airflow and drainage are required during normal use, with fire compartmentation provided when exposed to fire. The stone mineral wool core and intumescent seal are engineered to maintain this function within the cavity.
Suitable for both new build and refurbishment projects, it is used where ventilation, drainage and fire compartmentation are required within the same façade build-up.
