Gordian delivers a façade solution for the Cinnamon Building in Liverpool, using a timber-effect rainscreen system with in-house fabrication.
The project uses Rockpanel Woods in an Ebony finish, chosen to achieve a natural timber look while meeting A2-s1, d0 fire performance requirements. Panels were fabricated in-house, with each one cut to size and fixing points routed off-site to make installation more accurate and consistent once on site. This helped keep things straightforward during installation on a live residential building.
The finished façade gives the building a consistent timber appearance with the durability of a modern system. Rockpanel Woods provides good resistance to weathering and moisture, helping the external finish stay stable and low maintenance over time.
