Gordian Building Solutions supplied and prefabricated Equitone panels for the redevelopment of Lytham St Annes High School in Lancashire, part of the Department for Education’s School Rebuilding Programme.
The project used Equitone [natura] N821 Nimbus and Equitone [pictura] PG 442 Sky Blue fibre cement panels to form the external façade of the new two-storey building. The entrance areas were defined using a mix of blue tones to give the building a clear identity within the wider campus. Panels were cut and prepared off-site by Gordian to the required dimensions, helping maintain consistency across all elevations.
The panels were used to provide a durable, low-maintenance façade suitable for a long-life education building. Off-site prefabrication reduced on-site cutting and waste, and helped improve accuracy during installation. Coordination with the contractor and design team allowed deliveries to follow the phased programme while the school remained operational.
