Firestone LDN is a redevelopment of the former Firestone Tyre Factory in Brentford, delivering a new HQ industrial and logistics building at West Cross Industrial Park.
Designed by Chetwoods Architects for Legal & General Asset Management, the scheme provides around 89,000 sq ft of industrial and distribution space and takes cues from the original Art Deco factory that once stood on the site. The layout and elevations reference that heritage through a simple grid approach and a reinstated focus on the main entrance, while also bringing in upgraded access routes and new landscaping around the building.
Gordian Building Solutions supplied a Euroclad envelope system across both roof and walls. Euroclad Elite 54 was used on the façade and Euroclad Elite 2 on the roof, giving a consistent finish across the whole envelope. Hambleside rooflights were also installed to bring daylight into the internal areas.
