Gordian Building Solutions delivered a cladding remediation project at Princess Court in Manchester, improving fire safety, durability and the overall appearance of this seven-storey residential building.
The scheme used 8mm EQUITONE [natura] panels in N163 and N073 finishes to replace the existing façade system. The new cladding was designed to sit within the conservation area context while introducing a cleaner, more contemporary external finish. Over 350 panels were fabricated in-house by Gordian, including cutting and routing to exact dimensions to ensure consistency across the elevation and reduce waste on site.
The prefabricated approach allowed panels to arrive ready for installation, removing the need for on-site cutting and helping reduce disruption in a live residential environment. This supported tighter control of dust, noise and programme risk. EQUITONE [natura] provides A2-s1, d0 fire performance, weather resistance and long-term durability, making it suitable for high-rise residential refurbishment where compliance and low maintenance are key requirements.
