Gordian delivers a façade solution for Wrexham University’s Enterprise, Engineering and Optics Centre, supporting a new teaching and research building on the campus.
The project uses EQUITONE [natura] alongside bespoke aluminium cladding within the external envelope. Gordian fabricated the EQUITONE panels in-house, cutting them to exact sizes and supplying them ready for installation. The N074 Obsidian finish gives a consistent, calm tone that works with the wider mix of materials across the building and supports its modern academic use.
Gordian also supplied the NVELOPE bracket system to support the façade build-up. Off-site fabrication helped keep installation straightforward on a busy live campus, reducing the need for on-site cutting and helping the programme run more smoothly. EQUITONE [natura] was used for its durability and fire performance, along with its low maintenance requirements in a high-traffic education setting.
